Three Year Summary

 

NuLink Charter Schools continues to perform very well in making AYP in the Pennsylvania School of State Assessments (PSSAs). Our spring 2009 PSSA scores for Reading and Mathematics improved sufficiently to allow us to make AYP in both areas.

The spring 2007 PSSA test results in mathematics showed improvement from our baseline year in 2005 from 51.4 to a 2007 PPI of 78.1, exceeding our 2007 target of 62.2%. Reading results were consistent with those seen in mathematics. We improved on our baseline score of 60.0 to a 2007 PPI of 76.7, exceeding the 2007 target of 68.8. Our mathematics scores met AYP requirements with 50.8% of all students at the proficient or advanced level. Our Reading scores met AYP through the use of a confidence interval with 49.7% of all of our students scoring at the proficient or advance level.

The spring 2008 PSSA test results in mathematics showed improvement from our baseline year in 2005 from 51.4 to a 2008 PPI score of 80.1, exceeding our target of 62.2%. Reading results were consistent with those shown in mathematics. We improved on our baseline score of 60.0 to a 2008 PPI of 79.2, exceeding the 2008 target of 73.2. NuLink Charter School made AYP in 2008.

Our spring 2009 PSSA scores demonstrated improvement in mathematics with 82.3% of our students at the proficient or advanced levels. In reading, 80.8% of our students ranked at the proficient or advanced levels and the school made AYP for the fourth consecutive year.
