Facility
Our onsite facility located at 1234 Infinity Way in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has been updated into an environmentally friendly and sustainable building. The building was originally part of another organization and was used because of its prominent location and accessibility. Engineers have added solar panels and wind turbines on campus which provide for the majority of our electricity needs. All appliances use energy efficient systems and we have partnered with local electricity providers to continually look for new ways to lower our energy use.
NuLink Charter School is a full partner with local environmental groups and recycles all possible materials. We search for technology that will reduce our dependence on paper and recycle all batteries and hardware. The community may also drop recyclable materials at NuLink to use this service.
Students enrolled in NuLink are exposed to environmental research and ideas of sustainability through several courses. Many students have become involved in their local communities through the senior project and are encouraged to look for ways to improve the local environment.
