Staying Connected
High school is an important time to make friends, have fun, and socialize with others. At NuLink Charter School, kids have many opportunities to connect with others. Collaborative projects bring students together for a common purpose. Students also have opportunities to form study groups and to work in learning teams. Since NuLink kids are not separated by grade levels, everyone learns from one another. Field trips, assemblies, school dances, and guest speaker events are scheduled on a regular basis. Students can also participate in community service organizations as well as NuLink Clubs and Activities.
Although face-to-face meetings are especially encouraged, there are also a multitude of opportunities for students to communicate and collaborate through technology. Tools such as discussion boards, Elluminate meetings, Second Life virtual school experiences, wikis, blogs, and email are incorporated in learning.
Clubs and activities are great opportunities to meet other kids and share interests. See your homeroom teacher to sign up for one of these clubs, or suggest a new club. Join today!
